"One Thing" by One Direction was featured on Just Dance 4 as a downloadable track, but has since become unavailable for purchase following the delisting of Just Dance 4 DLCs from various online stores, as well as the shutdowns of said platforms. It remains available as a downloadable track for Just Dance 2014 on the Xbox 360 Marketplace and 8th-gen consoles, and it is also featured on Just Dance+.

Appearance of the Dancers

The dancers are a woman and a man. Both have golden outlines.

P1

P1 is a teenage girl. She has long pink hair, a dark blue bowl hat and the boy has on. She wears a black top with a dark blue skirt over it, a pink sash, with cyan and pink bow ties on her skirt, and dark blue an cyan t-strap stilettos. She also wears a cyan collar around her neck. Her glove changes from red to cyan.

P2

P2 is a teenage boy. He has short black hair. He wears a blue and pink vertical striped buttoned-up shirt with a cyan bow tie and after the girl’s dress it falls on the floor, cyan suspenders, black skinny jeans, and cyan dress shoes. He has a sleeve down on his arm. His glove changes from aqua blue to yellow.

During the first and second choruses, the dancers don an autumn-esque appearance, in which their blue and pink attributes turn orange and yellow. At the third verse, they sport a Halloween-esque appearance, in which their outfits are black and orange, mainly the former. At the final chorus, their appearance is mainly of pink, yellow, and purple. After the song, they disintegrate into hearts.

Background

The background seems to be a park. Far in the back are a Ferris wheel and city buildings. As the song plays, the background changes color, leaves starts to fall, the park levitates to the sky and the bench (the male dancer sat on), heart-shaped clouds appears, grass disappears while the light posts have light. In the chorus, the park has an autumn style with a heart-shaped sun and glowing hearts on the trees. During the bridge, the background shifts to a navy blue background with lights above the dancers. Then the heart-shaped sun appears, but the park becomes purple and trees have the purple glowing hearts. At the end of the routine, a heart forms around the dancers when the final move is performed.

• One Thing is the second song by One Direction in the series.
• One Thing is the first Classic routine for a One Direction song to not involve a Dance Crew.
  • It is also the second One Direction song whose routine involves a female dancer, after What Makes You Beautiful (Extreme Version).

Routine

• Based on a behind the scenes photo, P2 was originally going to be performed by a different performer.^[4]
• Among all pre-Just Dance 2016 maps that returned to Just Dance+ without returning to Just Dance Now or Just Dance Unlimited first, Funhouse, One Thing, Papaoutai, and The Lazy Song were the first four to do so outside of a season.
• One Thing was the second post-Just Dance 3 map whose pictograms were entirely remade in Just Dance+, after Call Me Maybe (Alternate Version).
  • Excluding cases of pictograms being simply moved down in the picture canvas (such as in So Glamorous or The Lazy Song), 24K Magic (Extreme Version), Funhouse, Futebol Crazy, One Thing, Papaoutai, and Soy Yo were the first through fifth such maps to receive any kind of changes to their pictograms upon their return in Just Dance+, after Call Me Maybe (Alternate Version) and Super Trouper.
• The dancers’ colors of outfits change in the chorus, then change in the bridge, then switch to another different color in the last chorus.
  • The same goes for their pictograms, each switching to a record total of four different colors throughout the routine.
  • The glove colors also change four times for P1 and twice for P2.
• The first eight pictograms show P1 with P2’s hat and P2’s with P1’s bow tie, but these additional objects are no longer shown after the first verse starts.
• The coaches’ extraction appears to be separated from the background in the game files; however, during the bridge, the background merges with the coaches, making the mask just a white rectangle.
• P2’s shoes seem to be very glitchy.
• During the bridge in Just Dance 4, the pictograms’ arrows color depended on the dancer’s glove color. However, in Just Dance 2014, the arrows during the bridge are the same color as the coaches’ pictograms.
  • This is the third time in the series where this has happened, following the Xbox 360 version of Da Funk and Maru Maru Mori Mori!. It is followed by Friendly Phantom.
    • This was changed in Just Dance 2014 and later appearances.
    • This makes One Thing the second post-Just Dance 3 routine to receive changes in its pictograms.
• In the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance 4, the half coaches are mirrored.
• In Just Dance+, the map background features one part of the background that has been mirrored to the right side.
