Quartets (formerly known as Dance Crews) is a feature that has appeared in every game in the series since Just Dance 3.
Description
Quartets are a feature that debuted in the Wii edition of Dance on Broadway before being permanently implemented in the main series in Just Dance 3 and have appeared in every subsequent game. Each Quartet routine features four playable coaches.
Dance on Broadway
Quartets made their debut in this installment. Every choreography featured in the Wii edition of the game is a quartet. However, the quartet format did not return for the PS3 edition, as every choreography in that version has been retooled into a duet.
Just Dance 3
Quartets (under the name Dance Crews) became a permanent addition to the main series in this installment. They feature four playable coaches and the pictograms come from the right and disappear in the center.

Trivia
- Just Dance 2016 features the most quartets in the main series, with ten.
- When including spinoff games, Dance on Broadway's Wii edition features the most, with all 20 songs included in that game being quartets.
- Excluding games with no quartets, Just Dance 2026 Edition features the fewest quartets in the main series at release, with only one.
- In Just Dance 3, the scores and player names for Dance Crews are displayed at the top of the screen, unlike other modes where they are displayed on the sides.
- Kiss You is the first and only quartet to be downloadable content (even though it is recycled).
- Just Dance 2016 allows players on 8th-generation consoles to obtain the use of smartphones and the Just Dance Controller App for scoring, a feature that allows up to six players, even for quartets. This is not the case for the Xbox One’s Kinect.
- Starting with Just Dance 2016, with the use of a smartphone or a Wii remote on the Wii U and PlayStation 4, multiple players can select a singular dancer. Previously, only one player slot was allocated to each available dancer.
- Although Just Dance Wii U has fewer Quartets than Just Dance Wii 2, Just Dance Wii U has more Quartets that are exclusive to the Japanese series.
