"Folded" by Kehlani is featured on Just Dance+. It is also available through the Wonder Tales Song Pack.
Appearance of the Dancer

The dancer is Queen Alethea, the coach from Human prior to being corrupted and turned into The Forgotten Queen. She has long black wavy hair and wears dramatic purple eye makeup with sharp eyeliner, dark eyebrows, and bright pink lipstick. A golden lotus-shaped crown decorates her head, accompanied by matching gold earrings, bracelets, and arm accessories. Her costume is a turquoise and deep blue outfit consisting of a strapless turquoise top with layered translucent sleeves attached to the arms, exposing her shoulders and midriff. Golden chains and jewel ornaments drape across her waist and torso. Her asymmetrical skirt features multiple layered chiffon fabrics fading from bright turquoise into dark sapphire blue, with high slits revealing her legs. At the end of the routine, everything except her gold accessories turn grayscale.
Background
The routine takes place in an ancient temple located in the hole of a mountain in Melosia Realms, with waterfalls and palm trees in the surrounding area. The temple is orange during the morning and blue at night. The coach is in a gazebo in front of the temple with four pillars, which have a swirly blue pattern that is also seen on the floor. A waterfall flows down during the intro and the second verse. At nighttime, the whole gazebo turns black, with the pattern flashing golden yellow to the beat along with some architectural elements in the background as glowing dots come out of the floor.
As soon as the second post-chorus starts, snakes can be seen climbing from behind the pillars as the rest of the background slowly darkens. Everything then fades into black silhouettes, with a shadow of white light coming in from the left corner, reminiscing Human. Afterwards, more snakes with glowing green eyes slither in from the background.
Gold Moves
There are 2 Gold Moves in the routine.
Gold Move 1: Put your right arm up, left arm down, and raise your left leg.
Gold Move 2: Move your arms up to your chest and step back and to the right.
Trivia
General
- Folded is the second song by Kehlani in the series.
- It is also her first one as a solo artist.
- Due to the word "damn" not being censored in-game (as opposed to the norm), Folded marks the fourth instance of the word "damn" or any similar word not being censored since Just Dance 2019, after About Damn Time, Murder on the Dancefloor and Love Again.
- In the in-game lyrics, the letter "Y" is not capitalized in the line "You should be giving me love" even though "You" is the starting word of the lyric line.
- The in-game lyrics fade away halfway through the second post-chorus, though Queen Alethea continues to lipsync.
Routine
- The map serves as a prequel to Human.
- According to former loremaster Aurore Bury, Queen Alethea is the daughter of Calypso and Triton. As shown in the map, she was once the queen of the Melosia Realms and performed very enchanting and hypnotic dances. However, many gods and goddesses expressed jealousy over her skills, believing them to be superior to their skills, which inspired the Gorgons to curse her into becoming a monster during her performance in Folded. She is called the Forgotten Queen and remains a monster to this day, presently residing in Skull Island, where Captain Crimson would eventually encounter her centuries later.[1]
- Queen Alethea's final pose is the same as her opening pose of Human.
- Queen Alethea appears briefly in the background of World Eater.
- Queen Alethea is the second coach to be featured in two routines that are included in the same music pack, after Adora in the Fiesta Latina song pack.
- Counting her appearance as a non-playable coach in World Eater, she is the first coach to appear in more than two routines from the same music pack.
- In the Wonder Tales song pack fankit, Queen Alethea is missing her outline on both promotional coach assets.
